Children's Live Online Observational Drawing Course

Does your child enjoy drawing and want to improve their technique? Do they want to learn how to use their observation skills to the best effect so that their drawings come to life? This short course is an excellent introduction into observational drawing. We will use our hands, plants and some other interesting objects to draw. All that is needed is paper and pencil. 

What will we cover each week?

• Week 1 - Using hands to explore shadow and learn how to use our pencil effectively to shade.
• Week 2 - Looking in detail at a plant or leaf. Learning how to use shadow to add depth to your drawing.
• Week 3 - Developing our shading techniques, so we can use different styles for different effect.
• Week 4 - Bring an object to the lesson to draw and experiment with all the skills you have learnt.

(N.B. This plan is a guide only. Lessons may change to fit with what the children want to do and how well they are getting on or if they need more time to practise, so flexibility is important.)

This course will run every Weds from 5-6pm for 4 weeks. Dates for this course are 22/02; 01/03; 08/03 and 15/03/2023.
