Dream, dream, dream...

So, as you may know, this month's theme has been about dreaming and planning. It seems the perfect time to plan. And... while we are in lockdown, it is important not to lose sight of what we would like to do, even if it is just a small thing once we are out of it! It is no different for children, as they always have dreams and hopes!

It's been a busy week here at HQ. Here's a quick look at what's been happening...

In last Sunday's workshop, we set about creating "Starry" Dreamcatchers together using our specially designed hoop to make it a little bit easier than the traditional version. These are Sophia and Penny's - they look absolutely fab, don't you agree?!

Talking about looking fab, how did you get on with the make from the last post? Imogen made two - one in a heart shape! I love that you are getting creative, even with the instructions! Please send some photos if you have any, as we love to see what you get up to :)

We have also had fun in our new free to join in Wednesday Homeschool Craft Club! Debbie is live on Facebook at 4pm each week with a mini-craft for you to try. Look out for updates on our FB page. Last week we made these gorgeous origami pets, and the week before we were making bird treats for the garden! Catch up with the videos you missed here and here. This week we are making paper spinners!

This Sunday, we still have places on our journal making workshop. You can learn how to make a journal from a cereal box and how to bind it with easy 4-hole Japanese Binding using ribbon. A great little workshop to keep little fingers busy for an hour or more on a Sunday afternoon :)

Finally, our first ADULT evening workshop of the year is a fundraiser! We are raising valuable funds for Eva's Angels, a charity local to us and one with big plans to help families affected by childhood cancer. Eva lost her battle with DIPG, a rare brainstem tumour, in 2017 and since then her family have set up this wonderful charity to raise funds for research, as well as providing a holiday home for families on the Kent coast. Find out more about them here.

We are holding a "Hope and Love" Angel making workshop to raise funds. 50% of the ticket price goes to the charity. The other 50% covers the cost of the craft kit, which will be sent direct to you before the workshop on 11 Feb.

I hope that you stay safe and well in the coming weeks! If you have any questions or something you'd like to make or see on the blog or in our lives, then get in touch!

We've got lots coming up in the next few months (look out for some collaborations with some fabulous crafter's too!) so I hope you'll be able to join us for some of those.

Whatever happens, stay crafty and see you soon!
